half of one year.

six months ago, right this moment, Niamh was less than 24 hours old.
she was small, floppy, sticky, and the most beautiful thing i had ever seen, tied with her big sister of course!
she was alert, yet sleepy, and a voracious nurser. she was born for the boobies!
head full of black hair, eyes the color of black olives. smelling faintly of birth still.
in six short months she has learned how to roll from front to back and back again. she can scoot around in a circle while on her belly, she sits up on her own, she signs "dog" when she sees one she wants to grab, and signs "milk" to nurse, or when she wants to go to mama. she says dada, and hi, is working on mama, using it in correct context about 75% of the time, and babbles constantly, just yesterday she mimicked Morgan with a very hard mouth sound.
she is constantly grabbing, and wanting to explore everything, and she has even had a sampling of a few foods, she likes to steal mamas banana and munch it, she also likes avocados, and LOVES frozen blueberries, half thawed and slightly smooshed.
she is still a voracious nurser, and thanks to V our AMAZING and super generous milk donor, Niamh is still drinking 100% human milk, and getting her suppliment at the breast via the Lact-Aid. nursing is her favorite activity still, and mama loves it too. :)
right this moment Niamh is trying to type. she doesnt want to be left out of any activity.

Addy is still an amazingly bright and spirited sparkly child. she would ask questions all day if you let her, and her imaginary play blows my mind sometimes.
she is a little sassafrass tho, and lately her two favorite adjectives are "evil" and "stupid" so i told her one time she was only allowed to call one person stupid, and that was GW, she asked me who he is, and i said, "he is the president of the country we live in, but most people would say he isnt a good president." so now when she gets mad and calls someone stupid i say "there is only ONE person you are allowed to call stupid." and she comes back real fast with "but i dont want george bush to be our president!" hahahaha. funny kid i have :)

Morgan is working hard at work, and at home. he has been making a big effort to make sure to get lots of fun time in with Addy, and snuggle time with Niamh when he is home. the girls love their daddy so much, they get stars in their eyes when he walks in the door from work.

i love my new latop. its been really great for keeping read up on things, not so much for writing, as i thought it would be. mostly because i try and only use it to surf while i am nursing, and its hard to nurse and type. but i have been tinking of starting a (semi) private journal for myself, and very select few others to read. tis is my family space, i need a ME space.
here are some recent pics:

The morning snuggles picture is so cute! And I hear you about the babes getting starry-eyed when daddy walks in the door. That in itself is heart-warming!
